University of Connecticut Huskies Set New NCAA Record

Congratulations to the University of Connecticut Huskies and its women’s basketball team for breaking the record for most consecutive wins in NCAA history. UConn defeated Florida State last night to earn its 89th victory in a row, which is the longest winning streak in college basketball (men’s or women’s) in history. The streak was previously held by the UCLA men’s basketball team, which won its 88th game in 1974.

The Huskies last lost in the NCAA tournament national semifinals in 2008. The Huskies have not lost consecutive games in more than 17 years. In the last decade, the UConn women’s basketball team has earned three perfect seasons and six NCAA championships.

CLC has been a proud partner of the University of Connecticut since 1986.

Congratulations, Huskies!
