    College Colors Day 2008
    Wear Your College Colors on August 29th

    ATLANTA, Ga. (August 26, 2008) - Orange and blue, garnet and gold, and purple and white are only a few of the thousands of color combinations to be worn throughout the day of August 29th in celebration of College Colors Day 2008. Join hundreds of thousands of people as they go to work or school wearing apparel representing their favorite college or university.

    College Colors Day is an annual celebration dedicated to promote the traditions and spirit that make the college experience great by encouraging people across America to wear apparel of their favorite college or university on August 29th.

    Additionally, College Colors Day, which coincides with “back to school” and the kick-off of intercollegiate athletics, strives to advocate higher education through increased public awareness, and celebrates the achievements of colleges and universities, acknowledging their fundamental importance.

    ˇCollege Colors Day has partnered with country music star, Toby Keith. Standup Toby Keith signs, promoting College Colors Day, will be displayed in college bookstores across the United States.

    ˇCollege Colors Day Proclamations from Governors across the United States, proclaiming August 29 College Colors Day in their respective state.

    ˇA 30 second College Colors Day television spot will run nationally on sports and news networks the week leading up to College Colors Day. This includes all of the ESPN networks, CNBC, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and many others.
